Dick Jennings started Sunburst Trout in 1948 in Cashiers, NC as Jennings Trout Farm. In the 1960s he built the current site below Lake Logan and became the first commercial trout processor in the southeast. He also helped design many of our innovative and unique processing machines and the Cold Smoked Trout. He has been an inspiration to the aquaculture industry for over sixty years.
